Nintendo to release classic shooter for Game Boy Color

Classic side-scrolling arcade action can soon be in the palm of your hand with the release of R-Type DX on the Game Boy Color.

The game features five different R-Type games, accessed via a virtual museum. You can play R-Type I and R-Type II in their original black-and-white Game Boy incarnations, as well as colour-enhanced versions of both.

The fifth game, R-Type DX, combines the action of the first two into a seamless blaster frenzy.

R-Type DX will be released in June.
