Dear Future Gamer,
In response to Dan's complaints(FG31) regarding the durability of the official N64 pad, I see no reason why you should ever have to throw them away! I have indulged in many violent bouts of GoldenEye and yes, it is true that the analogue stick can become quite stiff through frequent use. However, the area around the base of the stick can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth to remove that weird white stuff that builds up, while a drop of 3-in-1 oil maintains its flexibility. I know that sounds stupid but give it a go. It worked for me.
And anyway, any REAL GoldenEyeexpert knows that it doesn't matter what joypad you're using: if you're good enough there should be no complaints!
Mike

There you go folks, that's one way to loosen up your N64 pad. A word of warning though, if you do start filling your pad with oil and it conks out - don't blame us!
