Cute Backlash

Dear Future Gamer,

First off I would like to congratulate you on a first class ezine. The news section is great, the previews are well written and the feature section is wonderful. The only complaint I really have is that the reviews are a bit short (still, I suppose you can't tread too hard on your paper cousins' toes, eh?).

There are a few issues I would like to address:

1) The debate over PlayStation Vs N64. I don't have an N64, I have a PlayStation and for a good reason: cute games make me sick. Mario 64 may well be the best game ever but the cutesy look just totally turns me off. I realise that consoles are for kids too, but Nintendo only seem to be interested in that market. One other point, the PlayStation has a lot of crap games but it has a huge selection and from many genres, unlike the N64. Maybe Sega will take the middle ground and clean up.....

2) Sequels are not necessarily a bad thing, they don't have to mean lack of innovation (am I the only one who is salivating at the prospect of MGS2 on PS2)?

3) BITS - the reviews are weak but the news is good. Why is there an American and a Scandinavian though?

FG: Good points, well made. But have you tried the 'cutesy' GoldenEye? How about 'fluffy' Turok? Sequels certainly aren't a bad thing if they add to and improve on the previous version. And you're certainly not the only one looking forward to Metal Gear Solid on PlayStation. Why is there an American and a Scandinavian? Not the faintest...
