Dear Future Gamer,
What's happened to good old point-and-click adventure classics? In recent games there has always been emphasis on fighting rather than good old fashioned finding objects, using them and talking to people.
Do you know of any point'n'clickers old or new? I'm rather missing my favourite genre! Guaranteed to hook anyone into adventure games are the golden oldies Monkey Island II, Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle and the more recent Discworld2 and Broken Sword Iand II. Any games to recommend other than these?
With reference to the letter about Catherine Channon, I think whoever it was that wrote it, was being totally unfair. No good demos he says! What about Anna Kournikova, Speed Freaks, Total Drivin, Ape Escape, Syphon Filter, Um Jammer Lammy and Croc 2, just to name a few??? In my opinion he is just threatened by a successful female and will make any excuse to write her off as a bad job.

There are still some good point-and-click adventures around - Monkey Island III for example, or Grim Fandango. Check 'em out. As for that chap slagging off Catherine, he has since apologised for his unwarranted attack so she's forgiven him.
