In-Fisherman Bass Hunter 64
N64 From: Take 2

Lazy rod wrestlers will be chuffed to know that the N64 is about to land its first fishing game. In-Fisherman Bass Hunter 64 is packed to the gills and appears to have every angle covered. Starting out as an amateur fisherman, you participate in local tournaments in order to move up the rankings and make money to buy new kit - all of the boats, rods and tackle are, ahem, offishally licensed, so avid fish-heads will be able to use all their favourite gear. The actual fishing is good fun, with the larger bass putting up a decent scrap, ensuring a real sense of achievement upon landing a leviathan. Best of all, you get to drive the boat around each lake in search of the big 'uns (hint - try your luck near the nuclear power station). This is great fun; so much so that we spent most of the time tearing up the lake for kicks. Oh well, fishing's cruel anyway.

Tonic Trouble
N64 From: Ubi Soft

What? Another 3D platformer for the N64? Yes indeed... and it's cack. Alright, it's not exactly cack, but it fails to bring anything even remotely new to the table. In fact, Tonic Trouble seems to have stolen all the best ideas from the competition and done them really badly. Take, for instance, the dreadful attempt at recreating the tennis-style battle from Zelda (the final battle with Ganondorf) - it's absolutely laughable in its ineptitude. It's not all bad though. Ed, Tonic Trouble's central character, can change form in order to access secret areas. What a great idea... um... hang on a minute... STOP THIEF! That's a direct rip-off of Super Mario and his fancy caps. Or is it from Banjo Kazooie? Who cares? Let's be fair, Tonic Trouble looks okay, and it's more playable than Gex 3D or Chameleon Twist, but it's in no way inspiring and it's way too easy. And it's a dirty rotten thief.
