Mini-Review
Crazy Bikers
Game Boy Color From: Konami

Think of Crazy Bikers as a kind of manic cross between Sonic the Hedgehog and Excitebike on the Game Boy Color. Your tiny biker zooms along the wrap-around scrolling racetracks, popping wheelies and performing stunt flips off the ramps and bumps that litter the courses. Pressing B give a brief boost of nitro power, which is handy when you need to drive upside down around the aerial loop sections. It's easy to get into and there's a fantastic track editor built in for the time when the standard tracks start to feel tame. Played against a friend, via the game link cable, it's a riot. Wheelie good, in fact. Sorry.

10 Pin Bowling
Game Boy Color From: Take 2

Of all the so-called sports you could choose to play on your Game Boy, bowling would probably be at the bottom of most people's lists, somewhere below tiddlywinks, origami and dwarf tossing. 10 Pin Bowling is a particularly dull example of the noble art of digital skittles, consisting of little more than a fiddly control method and some pins that occasionally don't seem to respond to being whacked by the ball. You line up a shot, hold down the button while simultaneously setting the speed and curl via the d-pad, then wait to see if you've found the sweet spot which results in a strike every time. Awful.
