Dear Future Gamer
Ugh! PlayStation2 looks like that old CDTV lying around in my attic! What were Sony's design team on when they designed it? And to those people who think they can put it on its side, you can't. When you eject the DVD/CD, it will fall out of the tray. Silly people; not even the all-powerful PS2 can defy gravity. And that logo looks like something out of Buck Rogers. Come on Sony, a console doesn't just sell on its games and hardware - its looks sell as well.
I personally think the Dreamcast will be a success. With its great looks, both hardware and software-wise, it will sell like hot cakes. Plus its timing, even with the delay, is perfect. The Dreamcast is that new lease of life we all need, and with no competition for over a year, Sega are almost guaranteed success. But the big question is, will Sega make a successor to the Dreamcast at the end of the average five years of console life, or will it become a software developer? I would love to hear Future Gamer's opinion on this.

Sounds like you attended the presentation in Tokyo. It cannot possibly be true that the discs fall out if you stand PS2 on its side. Know what you mean about CDTV, though... Sega's R&D department will no doubt be working on the design and spec of a new console as we speak. Dreamcast is already flying off the shelves in the United States so it's not going to fall on its arse completely. Heck, it's a good machine with some great games.
