Wild, Wild Racing

Off-road action for PlayStation2

Rage Software have announced Wild, Wild Racing for PlayStation2. This off-road racer promises an ultra-realistic physics engine designed by Rage Birmingham, the team behind the forthcoming Hostile Waters on the PC.

WWR will give Rage the opportunity to seriously ramp-up the eye-candy, as is their wont, thanks to the power of Sony's super-console. Product Manager Kristian Ramsey Jones said, "The PlayStation2 will allow us to include new lighting, materials and effects, plus increased poly counts that may be set at defined limits, given the fixed architecture of the PS2 console."

Wild, Wild Racing should be released in time for the Japanese PlayStation2 launch in March 2000 and we'll have some screenshots in the next few days.
