French publishers plan driving game for new Sony console
French software company Titus have been listed as the only non-Japanese publisher to play a part during the Japanese launch of PlayStation2, which takes place in March 2000. Titus' first PlayStation2 title is Roadsters Trophy 2000, which was featured at last month's launch event in Tokyo.
"During the huge launch of the Playstation2 in Japan, where 10 million units of hardware will be shipped the first week, our partnership strategy both in terms of development and distribution will pay off," said Eric Cane, co-founder and President of Titus Interactive. "We're projecting initial sales of 200,000 units of Roadsters for Playstation2 in Japan, and it's very unusual for a non-Japanese publisher to achieve such results."
He's getting a bit ahead of himself, isn't he?
