McFarlane confirms his hellish comic book character's arrival on PS2
Naomi board or not, Todd McFarlane's anti-hero Spawn, currently a coin-op game on test in the arcades, is coming to PlayStation2.
Capcom, who hinted to IGNPSX during E3 of the game's large appeal and its likelihood of being more than just a Dreamcast game, have plans to bring Spawn: In The Demon's Hand to Sony's new 128bit system by the year 2001.
The confirmation was spotted on Todd McFarlane's site, spawn.com. "Later this year, Capcom will introduce a stand-up arcade game based on Spawn. The game, Spawn: In the Demon's Hand, will be translated into a Sega Dreamcast version for release in 2000 and a PlayStation2 version for release in 2001," the site says.
Capcom officials wouldn't confirm the information, explaining that many of their games come to the home market, but they didn't rule out the possibility either.
