Dear Future Gamer
I'd just like to comment on your article about gaming programmes on TV. Living in Ireland, I have the four Irish channels, as well as all the UK stations (including a few Sky channels), through cable. I've seen Bits and, frankly, it's rubbish. Why do people actually make programmes like this? GamesMaster was brilliant, but the best has to be Cybernet.
Instead of staying up to the wee small hours to watch it, it's shown on Irish television at a reasonable time. However, it's shown on our Irish-speaking channel, so the voice-over is in the Irish language, but thankfully there are on-screen subtitles. The show is great, with all the latest games footage and reviews, as well as competitions with great prizes.
Well, that's my two cents anyway.

FG:
Are we being served by the current standard of gaming TV? The obvious answer is 'no'. Considering that playing videogames is one of the country's most popular pastimes, the BBC's remit to provide public service broadcasting would suggest that a primetime slot for the subject should be imminent. Hmm...
