EA Drop 'Em

Games giant's move could lead to a cut-price Christmas

The PlayStation price war took a new turn this week with the news that EA have dropped their trade prices for all their new releases. The news is an early Christmas present for PlayStation users and should prove great news for gamers in general - EA are a huge, huge software house, and where they go, others must surely follow.

The move comes in the middle of a huge price battle on the high street, which took a twist last week when Dixons refused to stock titles with an RRP of over £34.99. In other words, Santa's got no excuse for not giving us all a whole stocking full of games this Christmas, instead of the usual measly sock-full.
