Nothing to do with Games...

Dear Future Gamer

In response to Argie Bargie, (FG67), I must agree with Spongs' comments on yet another dull, uninspiring England performance. Electronic Arts' sports division is more creative than the England midfield. And why oh why do the papers constantly have features such as "Shearer: Heskey's my man"? Since when was Shearer the manager? I'm still trying to figure out why Shearer is an automatic choice. I agree he did do well at Euro 96 but since then his England career has been pretty much appalling.

It's sad to see that players like Andy Cole and Robbie Fowler (when he's fit) can't get a consistent run in the team because of that. And what on earth is Keegan doing putting Jason Wilcox and Kieron Dyer, both attack-minded players, in wingback positions? Yeah, it's useful to have them moving forwards, but defensively both were, to put it simply, bollocks. We should have a more traditional 4-4-2 formation with Gary Neville and Graeme Le Saux filling in the fullback positions. And finally, for God's sake, get Joe Cole in the team. He may be inexperienced but our midfield is more predictable than Neighbours. I look back to 1990 when Gazza was at his best and England could carve up defences. Treasured times.
