Wobbly Arms Straightened Out

Dear Future Gamer

With reference to the 'Wobbly Arms' letter in last week's FG, I think that this might happen because the game runs in 50/60Hz. I think this means that since lines on the telly, which run horizontally, are refreshed alternatively (odds then evens), only half the image is projected during each refresh. Of course, you don't see this when you're playing as it happens 50/60 times a second, but when you pause the game you may pause when only half of the next frame has been drawn on the screen. This is only a guesstimate, but I think it could be one explanation.

Chips

FG: It could well be, Chips. Anyone else got a theory?
