Futuristic warfare Delta Force-style
After the critical success of Delta Force, NovaLogic are set to offer us some more of their unique brand of squad-based warfare on the PC with Maximum Overkill.
The setting is 50 years in the future and the nations of the world have split into two opposing forces: the New Reforms Coalition (NRC) and the Alliance of Independent Republics (AIR). Both are vying for control of the world’s resources.
Select from 10 different air and ground assault vehicles, each offering distinct tactical advantages that will appeal to different playing styles. Ultimately, you will need to protect your base while attempting to decimate your opponent's facilities. But these bases aren’t just spawning points – each building is vitally important to the war effort. If you destroy the enemy’s communications tower they’ll find it far more difficult to co-ordinate an effective attack.
Maximum Overkill will feature 40 missions, which take place in different types of terrain such as desert, jungle and grassy plains. Best of all, you can play with up to 32 human opponents via NovaWorld, NovaLogic’s online gaming service.
Expect to see Maximum Overkill in the shops this summer.
