Street-surfing for the future
Forget snowboarding – the hip kids of the future will all be strapping hoverboards to their designer daps. Well, they will be if Acclaim have anything to do with it.
The tentatively titled Project Velocity is a futuristic stunt-racer for the N64, currently being developed by Criterion Studios. You get to pick one of nine ‘dudes’ and race against the computer (or up to three mates in split-screen mode) on a variety of tracks around the globe.
All your favourite tricks will be in there, 360s, Lien Airs, Mute Grabs and the like, as well as a host of new moves only possible on a hoverboard.
There is no mention of a release date as yet. We’ll keep you informed.
