Future Gamer Recommends
Bloody Roar 2 (PlayStation)

Unlike your normal PlayStation beat-'em-ups, Bloody Roar 2 offers you the chance to change, mid-fight, into an animal (which one depends on your character, but we especially like the big pink rabbit). You thus become even more savage (and, if the rabbit, pinker).

This is cracking fun. We've drawn a cubic litre of entertainment from its lungs, especially (natch) in the two-player mode. It's not quite worth the trouble if you already have Tekken 3 (but what beat-'em-up is? Actually, Street Fighter Alpha 3, maybe) but the little twist of shapeshifting novelty is backed up by a decent punch-up core. Our recommendation of the week and no mistake.
