Impressive list of titles for Los Angeles show
Nintendo have unveiled their preliminary line-up of N64 titles for the forthcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles which takes place in May. E3 is traditionally the biggest games show of the year and the list reaffirms Nintendo's commitment to the N64. The list confirms that the two biggest Nintendo games will appear in playable form: Perfect Dark and Donkey Kong 64.
Here is the full list:
Command & Conquer 3D - the Looking Glass-developed update to the classic Westwood franchise.
Donkey Kong 64 - Rare's hit sequel is said to be the N64's crowning achievement in terms of graphics and sound.
Eternal Darkness - a Resident Evil-style horror adventure by Kain developer Silicon Knights.
F-1 World Grand Prix II - Video System and Nintendo are bringing back last year's reigning Formula 1 sim.
Jet Force Gemini - Rare ventures into new territories: sci-fi third-person shooting with mascot characters.
Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest - Angel Studios plans to show off its hi-res arcade baseball sequel.
Kobe Bryant 2 - Left Field Production brings back everyone's favourite basketball sim.
Mario Golf - Camelot, the makers of Hot Shots Golf, are behind this latest mascot title.
The New Tetris - H2O are set to take the 2D puzzle classic to new sonic and graphical heights.
Ogre Battle 3 - Quest's original sequel to the SNES strategy RPG classic.
Pokemon Snap - the Nintendo photo safari will be the first Pokemon (64) title to hit the US.
Pokemon Stadium - the version of the upcoming Japanese Pokemon 2 contains all 151 monsters.
Ridge Racer 64 - the Namco-licensed title was actually developed in the US.
Riqa - those who've seen it say it's Perfect Dark's biggest rival. From Bits Studios.
Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer - LucasArts took the movie's pod race and turned it into a Wipeout-style hover racer.
StarCraft - Mass Media bring the addictive sci-fi realtime strategy hit to the N64.
Not all these titles have been confirmed for release in Europe, but as long as we get Perfect Dark, who cares?
