FIFA 2000 to miss N64?

Speculation grows that EA to drop FIFA for N64

N64 owners everywhere rejoice. Let the church bells chime. Rumours abound that EA Sports are considering dropping FIFA from the N64 schedules. A spokesperson for EA Sports told CTW: "FIFA 2000 for the Nintendo 64 isn't on our release schedule at the moment. For now we're concentrating our development on Stars and FIFA 2000 for the PC and PlayStation".

The N64 version of FIFA '99 was undoubtedly less impressive than its PlayStation counterpart, and neither versions were as good as Konami's International Superstar Soccer or Actua Soccer 3. But having said that, with FIFA '99 being one of the biggest selling N64 games in the first part of last year, EA will surely look to produce a football game for that Dolphin fellow some time in the next century.
