Rainbow Six headed for Dreamcast

The PC hit set to invade a DC near you by way of Majesco Sales

Forget GoldenEye - Redstorm's Rainbow Six is the real king of the espionage-oriented deathmatch, and according to the game's creators, we can look forward to a Dreamcast version at launch thanks to the gang at Majesco Sales.

Redstorm have licensed out the game to Majesco, who expects to have the port done in time for the September 9 launch. "We are pleased to announce that Majesco Sales, Inc. will be publishing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six for the Dreamcast platform," said Morris Sutton, CEO of Majesco Sales. "We are extremely excited to be introducing this dynamic game to the Dreamcast market and are pleased to be working closely with Red Storm Entertainment in the development".

As the time of writing, FG has no confirmation as to whether the game will feature Net play, but considering the rapid turnover expected, we could easily speculate that the DC version will be a Windows CE port, which would leave the option open.
