I don't know what a CPU is, what a 3D graphics card is for or what overclocking is. When I go into shops people just laugh and say, 'You're 'avin a laugh mate.' It's really annoying - could you send me some information on this as I really want to know more.

Don't worry about it, Tim - none of us knew what any of those meant until we were told. CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, which is the heart of your computer; the bit that does most of the dedicated maths. The dictionary definition is: "The part of a computer that performs logical and arithmetic operations on the data as specified in the instructions." A 3D graphics card is a piece of hardware you fit to your PC that enables it to process graphics data, especially 3D graphics data, much faster than it would normally. Finally, overclocking is when a piece of software reconfigures a piece of hardware (3D graphics card or CPU) to run faster than it's designed to. It's not a recommended practice but if done correctly it can speed up your PC significantly. Okay? Next...
