Future Gamer: Issue 40 £0.00

Despite the launch of the Dreamcast at the end of September, Sega have made the surprising decision not to attend Europe's biggest trade show, ECTS, which happens at the start of September. Find out why in the news. You'll also learn that top footy pundit 'Jocky' Hansen has signed with Codemasters for their first football management game, and how EA and Sony have joined forces to tackle Internet piracy.

Talking of piracy, ELSPA's current anti-piracy campaign has generated a wealth of feedback from you lot, so that section's very lively this week. We've had a bit of re-jig in Gamer Life too, where we've dropped a couple of features that had become stale and replaced them with some great new articles for you to enjoy.

If you haven't been to the website for a while, get along there and you can find out about the Future Gamer Network - Future Gamer want to build an ever-growing network of quality gaming websites to which it can refer its readers. Future Gamer's going from strength to strength, so become a part of it. Enjoy the magazine.

In this issue:
Preview: Wip3out (PlayStation)
That's a cool way to spell Wipeout 3, isn't it? Hats off to the creatives at Psygnosis who bring us the third instalment of the futuristic racer that's widely credited with helping to get the PlayStation so well established.
Review: Metal Gear VR (PlayStation)
Metal Gear Solid wowed gamers with its stunning gameplay but it had knockers who argued that a game, no matter how good, wasn't worth £40 if it only took a handful of hours to finish. Metal Gear VR isn't a sequel but offers more missions.
Feature: Football Management
One of the oldest and most popular game genres is the football management simulation. James Price finds out just why they continue to be so successful. Well, how many hours have you sat and played with what's essentially a database?
