Naughty Dog Crash Out

US developers confirm the Bandicoot is breathing his last...

Crash Bandicoot, one of the PlayStation's most popular characters, will be making his last appearance in Naughty Dog's forthcoming Crash Team Racing (CTR). The little orange marsupial has already starred in three platform campaigns, but CTR will be his last PlayStation outing.

"Although we are not discussing titles beyond CTR at this time, I can say that Naughty Dog are supporting PlayStation 2," Jason Rubin told Official UK PlayStation Magazine. "I believe that Crash Team Racing will be Crash's best and most popular venture to date. Naughty Dog are extremely excited to be finishing up our PlayStation years with our favourite orange marsupial."

However, it's thought that Eurocom (Machine Hunter, Wargods) have picked up the licence for a possible Crash Bandicoot 4. Haven't we had enough Bandicoot?
