New Tomb Raider Details

Lara's heading back to Egypt

Details are filtering through regarding Core Design's next instalment (the fourth!) in the impossibly popular Tomb Raider series. Firstly, it's going to be called Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and it's said to be set almost exclusively in Egypt. In the past, Lara has had a tendency to globetrot, but she'll be spending at lot of time in tombs this time around.

Core are said to be concentrating on producing a rather more tight adventure with the emphasis on solving conundrums, as opposed to wandering through vast levels killing any animals in sight. Lara is being completely remodelled and will be more detailed than ever, and she should have a number of new manoeuvres in her armoury. So, better visuals, moody lighting and new puzzles, but is that enough?

What do you think? Has the Tomb Raider series run its course or are you gagging for more? Feedback welcome at the usual address...
