Player Manager (PlayStation) |
Anco had a decent reputation after the great Kick Off on the Amiga, and though they tried to murder it with subsequent follow-ups that were nowhere near as good, they came to the PlayStation in '96 with a clean sheet.
This wasn't the best way to start. A football management game should at least have up-to- date-ish stats. Player Manager didn't. It didn't have a simple control interface either. It didn't have decent game highlights. It didn't have an easily navigable layout either. In fact, Player Manager got just about everything wrong. The game was so unfriendly, poorly designed and laborious that you'd have given up on it long before the end of your first season.
