| The Need to Cheat |
Dear Future Gamer
I've just been reading the Feedback section and had to reply. Ever wondered how you test a game? Take this situation...
You're a games tester and you've successfully been getting through the levels of a game. The development team then come to you and say they've added more cool stuff that's just past the bit you're on. They know that it's hard to do but require you to test it. You'd like to test this bit but keep getting eaten/blown up/fragged and have to start the game again. Bummer.
Wouldn't it help the tester to have a cheat that gives more ammo, more lives or God-like capabilities?
Just a real world comment on the issue of cheats.

FG:
And there's a very real danger in doing this that the difficulty tuning for the game's completely wrong. If you can't get past stage X without a cheat, how do you expect Joe Public to?
