Anal Homologation (ooh er!)

Dear Future Gamer

Sorry to be such a pedant, but "homologation" is what manufacturers have to do to prove their race cars are actually not too far removed from their road-going models, and is standard practice in this country too. It involves building and selling a certain number of similar-spec vehicles, and this entitles them to claim that road and race machines are the same. I think it's in the dictionary...

So, how anal does this make me?

Gary

FG: It's sort of in the dictionary. Here's what Collins' says: 'homological or homologic (adj). 1. Having a related or similar position, structure etc. 2 Chem. (of a series of organic compounds) having similar characteristics and structure but differing by a number of CH2 groups...

So we'll let them have that one. And yes, you are very anal.
