Future Gamer: Issue 24 £0.00

Tuesday April 27 1999 heralds the dawn of a new era for Future Gamer. Over the last six months we've evolved and refined what is surely the best email games magazine in the world and now we're about to make two major changes that will take us to new heights.

The first is that we're opening the website. Currently you can come to www.futuregamer.com and read the current issue, look at the week's screenshots and download any back issues you want. From Tuesday April 27 1999 you'll be able to read all previous news stories, previews and reviews (with screenshots, natch) and features. We've improved the design and made it even easier to read all about your favourite games on your favourite machines. That in itself is great news, but it gets better.

The second major change we're pleased to announce is that from Tuesday April 27 1999, Future Gamer goes daily. Each and every day (except weekends and Bank Holidays) we'll be adding new content to the website. New letters, new features, new previews and new reviews. Every day. This won't affect the weekly email magazine you've come to know and love. Future Gamer will still be sent out every Thursday evening, as normal, for you to peruse offline - including some content that will be specific to the deliverable - but if you can't wait until Thursday, you can come to www.futuregamer.com and read the postings of the day.

From Tuesday April 27 1999 Future Gamer just got even better.

Review: Marvel Vs Capcom (Dreamcast)
The 2D fighting game is enjoying a renaissance at present and the latest game to please the Japanese arcade hardcore is one in which Marvel comics' more familiar heroes battle with some of Capcom's. Here's the definitive review of the Dreamcast version.
Feature: Game for a Laugh
Nintendo's little handheld should have been consigned to the pages of history years ago, but still it sells. And sells. With the introduction of the latest incarnation, the Game Boy Color, Steve Edwards looks at the world's most prolific games console.
