Virgin secure rights to publish Kagero Deception ll
Virgin Interactive have signed the European publishing rights to Tecmo's action adventure game, Kagero Deception ll. Japanese softco Tecmo are best known for their wobblesome beat 'em up Dead or Alive, in which the women characters' 'features' swayed with some abandon.
Kagero, though, is a realtime 3D adventure replete with role-playing elements for the PlayStation. The game revolves around a 'battle-trap' interface with a sort of turn-based format in which you set fiendish traps for your enemies to fall into. Scary stuff, apparently.
"Virgin Interactive is determined to prove its ongoing commitment to working on leading-edge projects such as Kagero Deception ll, although in this case it could be more accurately described as 'bleeding' edge," said Larry Sparks, Virgin's marketing bod. The game will be released in the summer, and no doubt a preview will appear in the coming weeks.
