New levels and characters for N64 version

The N64 version of Atari's classic arcade adventure is nearly finished - and it looks set to be more than just a straight conversion job.

According to Midway, only 50 per cent of the original levels will feature, and those will be enhanced with new puzzles. The rest of the levels will be brand new and exclusive to the N64.

In addition, the four character classes (Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard and Elf) will each feature four different player models. There will also be an all-new cast of enemies hell-bent on your destruction.

Gauntlet Legends will support the Expansion Pak, enabling higher resolutions, and the Memory Pak for character saves. You'll be able to take your character around to a friend's house and assist them in their adventure.
