3Dfx cards to be bundled with NEC PCs
NEC Direct are to bundle 3Dfx Interactive's new Voodoo3 3000 AGP graphics card as a standard feature in their latest PCs, giving them a huge boost in videogaming performance. The range, which is priced between £500 and £900, will be available on April 27, when the Direction PC line is launched.
"Voodoo3 is at the forefront of 3D technology which makes it the ideal choice for our latest configurations of PCs. NEC Direct is committed to offering our customers the best in PC technology and Voodoo3 fits that bill perfectly," said Colwyn Munro, general manager of NEC Direct UK.
"Obviously, we want as many people as possible to experience the incredible performance boost that Voodoo3 provides, and NEC Direct's position as a major supplier of PCs means that many thousands of new users can experience Voodoo3," said Greg Ballard, president of 3Dfx Interactive. "With Voodoo3, NEC Direct's Direction PCs promise to deliver the most exhilarating entertainment and media-rich experiences to customers".
