What's DT, You Ask?

We hit the Nintendo SpaceWorld show floor to get you some answers.

When Nintendo first announced their alliance with Marigul, a mysterious game title soon popped up in Japanese magazines - DT. Although details are still sketchy, we have finally been able to dig up some solid information on this 64DD title.

Developed by Game Studio, DT is a digital card collection and trading game. While this may not be the most exciting news, we also learned that DT will be the first game ever to make use of the 64DD/Game Boy link. The DT Game Boy cartridge has a slot at the top that can be connected to the N64's controller port via the GB connection cable. According to Nintendo, game data that has been "collected" on the Game Boy (this could be anything from Pokémon creatures to photos snapped with the camera) can then easily be transferred to the 64DD or uploaded to Randnet - and vice versa.

Additionally, the Game Boy can also serve as a sub-screen of sorts, much like the Dreamcast VMU. Using the Game Boy screen, players can then place bets on horse races or select plays in a football game without letting the other players see the selection.

DT is currently scheduled for a vague "Year 2000" release.
