New Dreamcast Game Announced!

Third-party DC game leaked

With more than half of the Dreamcast games announced last year available in Japanese shops by now, it's time we started to hear about the new titles due out over the coming months and into 2000. Sega have already started the ball rolling with the likes of Eternal Arkadia, but what about third-party developers?

Unfortunately, they're keeping tight-lipped until the Tokyo Games Show. Luckily for you though, we've found out about a brand new Dreamcast game! Currently known as Chess 2000, the game is, you guessed it, a chess title! Being developed by an unknown company who call themselves Net Village, the project will apparently drag the genre into a new level of gaming. With the news that the game will make use of the machine's modem, we can at least look forward to online chess matches against players from around the world!

Ok, so it may not sound very exciting at this stage, but hey, who knows? A release date for Chess 2000 has yet to be decided upon, but it's quite possible this one will make it out before the end of 1999. We'll keep you posted, chess fans!
