Maybe something was lost in the translation but SNK are apparently working on a new version of Samurai Spirits for the PlayStation, entitled The Mysteries of Swordman: Samurai Spirits The New Chapter of Blade. Phew! The great Linda Lovelace would have struggled with that mouthful. Not much is known about this one at present, although it is believed to be a 3D fighting game. We'll know a bit more when it's released in Japan at the end of the year.
Half-Life fans rejoice - you can now get all the latest game-enhancing files for your favourite shooter at www.halflifefiles.com. A powerful new search facility will make it easy to find all the files (official and user-created) you could want, as well as any relevant news and other product information. "We're continually amazed by the number of mods, maps and other content being created by the Half-Life community, and halflifefiles.com is a great resource for keeping track of it all," says Gabe Newell, managing director of Valve Software, creators of Half-Life. With over 1,000 files - a number that is growing daily - the site is expected to attract huge amounts of traffic. Check it out.
As with buses, great demos are always late and then three turn up at once. This week we've got Prince of Persia 3D, Rally Championship 2000 and Battlezone II. They're all fantastic so you had better download them all. But which one first? Life is full of difficult decisions...
New additions to the Hints and Tips database include,C&C: Tiberian Sun on PC, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver on the PlayStation, Shadowman on N64 and Airforce Delta on the Dreamcast. We've also got patches and updates for all the latest games.
