As President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), Chris Deering has had a particularly busy year... and he's just about to get a whole lot busier. What with overseeing the development of PlayStation2, and taking the occasional swipe at Sega's Dreamcast, he won't have much time to enjoy the delights of Lara Croft or Gran Turismo 2 this Christmas.

So what does he actually do? Probably much the same as the President of, say, British Telecom or IBM - he won't be designing PlayStation2 or putting the bits together (that's left to Ken Kutaragi - Who He? FG42). He'll be sitting in a dead posh office (leather chair, IKEA desk, golf putting machine, etc), talking on the phone a lot and using words like "focus", "strategic", "facilitate" and "synergy".

Okay, so we've been really struggling with ideas for 'Who He?', hence this flippant entry for Chris Deering (sorry Chris, we don't actually know that much about you). Next week we'll have a new Gamer Life section for your enjoyment.
