Soul Reaver Sequel Confirmed for Dreamcast

And that's just the beginning for Eidos. Get the scoop here

At a press event this evening held to unveil the Dreamcast version of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Eidos' Rob Dyer revealed a bit of interesting news about their level of commitment to Sega's new platform. Not only will we be seeing eight additional titles on the system from the third-party giant, but Dyer went so far as to reveal one of the biggest: a Soul Reaver sequel for the Dreamcast.

According to Eidos, the game has already seen success on the platform, and they plan to continue this trend with the series and, as a result, will be aiming for a simultaneous release for the title for Dreamcast and other consoles, including PS2.

As for the rest of their planned titles, Eidos noted their agreement with Disney and their plans for Olympic themed games on the system, but weren't quite ready to spill all the beans. If rumours prove to be true, we estimate that many of their upcoming products for the PC, including the likes of Deus Ex and Anachronox will help round out this impressive line-up. We'll be back with full details as soon as they become available.
