You're the only law that matters in this combat title which could put Driver in the shade
Microsoft today released details on their forthcoming mercenary-style combat game Loose Cannon, which features action both on foot and in vehicles.
Players will take on the role of a freelance bounty hunter in the year 2016, and will travel the US, choosing which vehicles to use and which missions to take. Stealing cars, high speed pursuits and plenty of gunplay are all on the menu as you track down your targets.
There will be 20 missions in all, punctuated by cut-scenes, ranging from hostage rescues, car chases, convoy escorts and attacking enemy bases. More than 15 customised vehicles will be on offer, along with loads of weapons and armour.
The cityscapes, which will include San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York, will feature working police and AI traffic. There will also be support for up to eight players to join in the battles via LAN or the MSN Gaming Zone.
With a Christmas 2000 release date, this sounds like an exciting title and we can't wait to play it.
