Pokémania continues Stateside with the news that condiment giants Heinz are jumping on the bandwagon. Starting this month, supermarkets throughout the country will stock over 5 million bottles of Pokémon-branded Heinz Ketchup, featuring Charizard, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Charmander and, of course, the yellow peril Pikachu. The two-month promotion will no doubt cause further playground scuffles.

Namco are working on a body movement sensor called Dynamica, which will detect a player's movements using infrared. The system was recently shown in Japan with the help of Tekken Tag Tournament and Street Fighter 2. We'd love to have seen someone attempt Chun Li's 'spinning bird kick'!

Ever fancied breeding ferrets but were afraid to ask your folks? Well, soon you'll have the chance to prove yourself responsible enough to nurture long rodents with Ferret Monogatari (or Ferret Tale: Dear My Ferret) on Game Boy Color. There are loads of mini-games to test your furry chum, including racing and a dancing simulator. Just be sure to turn it off when you carry it around in your pocket.

Hong Kong-based Radica Games have acquired the rights to market Elvis-branded handheld games. The first LCD titles will be released early next year. We want to play Elvis-Man (a kind of Pac-Man in which you control a burger-guzzling Elvis head). And how about Resident Elvis?

Sega have announced Fish Life, a standalone virtual fish tank for Japanese folk too busy to look after the real thing. The system consists of a laptop-sized silver box with a flat touch-screen monitor. You can feed your virtual pets by tapping on the top of the screen, while prodding the front of the 'aquarium' will provoke plenty of fishy attention. It's fully customisable too, allowing you to fill the screen with all manner of marine life.
