Roll Up! Roll Up! Fortunes To Be Made!

First Internet label for independent game makers launched

Think you could do better than Tomb Raider? Fed up of endless sequels? If you are, you might interested to know that a pioneering Internet company are launching a website aimed at sparking new gaming styles and putting creative and publishing control back in the hands of game makers themselves.

www.garagegames.com, the brainchild of Dynamix founder Jeff Hott, will formally launch in April. It promises to provide budding independent game makers with all they need to make and sell high quality games.

Hott said, "garagegames.com's mission is to provide independent developers with tools, education, distribution, financial incentives - whatever they need - to make great games themselves... and maybe even make their fortune."

Such innovations have got to be applauded because in a few years' time we could see a revolution in the games industry like we've seen in the music business, with small indie labels and even smaller bedroom studios driving boundaries still further. Be sure to check out the site.
