Red Storm Entertainment have announced their intention to publish Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Covert Operations Essentials. Don't get too excited though - it's not a game. In fact, it's a bit of a weird one. You'll get a few new levels for Rainbow Six and some insider info on the history of counter-terrorism, including video interviews, photos and words. Exciting, eh? Rainbow Six: Covert Operations Essentials is scheduled for release in the third quarter of this year.

Three members of Blizzard Entertainment have chipped off to form Triforge, developers of multiplayer games. The thing is, right, they can't be very good at multiplayer games or they would have worked on Warcraft III while still at Blizzard. But they didn't.

Activision's upcoming Star Trek: ConQuest Online sounds a bit good. You get to play online, as the all-powerful 'Q'.

NovaLogic are probably working on Delta Force 3 for PC and PlayStation2. This time round they might support 3dfx. All will become clear at E3 in May.

Sega are planning to bring broadband Internet access to Dreamcast by the summer. Finally, the dream of online Soul Calibur with no lag could become reality. It won't happen over here though, not for a long while. We haven't got the necessary infrastructure in place yet - it's got to be all fancy fibre-optics and all, you see.

Ecco the Dolphin has slipped after some problems were noticed during final testing. Nothing serious, mind you - just dirty great holes in the underwater scenery. You won't have to wait too long though; it's only shifted from April to May. It's still a bit boring though.
