Soccer Madness Hits Game Boy Color

And Pixelstorm's new football effort really does look like living up to its name...

Tired of playing the beautiful game the way it should be played, with no cheating and no violence? Disappointed with the standard of handheld football? Well, things are set to get better because Sunsoft are releasing a footy effort on Game Boy Color which not only looks great but is also so nasty it'll curl the receding locks of the most lenient of referees.

Futsal Soccer Madness is the name of the game, and it really does look bonkers. A five-a-side beat 'em up as much as a football sim, it has no offsides and no fouls, and players will be able to flatten the opposition with flying kicks and punches, and perform acrobatic special shots involving power-ups, energy bolts and particle effects. You'll even be able to play games on skyscraper rooftops.

Surely the future of football, this most intriguing of titles will be out this spring and we're certainly looking forward to wetting our whistles with it.
