Codemasters Launch £9.99 PlayStation Range

The price war starts on March 31...

Codemasters have confirmed that they are to publish a range of classic PlayStation games at just £9.99 - that's half the price of 'Platinum' label games. The first title at the new price point is Codemasters' MUSIC: Music Creation, which will be released on March 31.

"The opportunity to offer classic titles at £9.99 is one Codemasters welcomes and we're proud to be first in announcing our plans and introducing product to the market," said Mike Hayes, Codemasters' sales and marketing director. "MUSIC is a great title and one that has performed exceptionally well for us. £9.99 is an excellent mass-market price bringing a range of PlayStation games in line with other key entertainment products, such as videos, albums and paperback best-sellers."
