NVIDIA Selected for Microsoft X-Box

No surprises there then...

As expected, Microsoft have chosen NVIDIA to give X-Box the graphical edge. NVIDIA's TNT, TNT2 and GeForce 256 cards have been well received by the hardcore PC gaming community over the past few years, establishing the company as a serious rival to 3dfx.

"The digital revolution is driving massive change in consumer electronics. At the epicentre of this revolution will be next-generation game consoles like X-Box - it [X-Box] is incredibly powerful, networked to the Internet and will deliver breathtaking games. And as 3D is a key component of X-Box, NVIDIA will be launched onto the world stage as we work with Microsoft to transform the 'living room experience'," said Jen Hsun Huang, President and CEO of NVIDIA, barely pausing for breath.

We reckon X-Box just might surprise a few people by being really good. Click here to check out the official site.
