Sega release details of the Dreamcast's software catalogue
UK developers Bizarre Creations are producing a racing game for Sega's Dreamcast. The Liverpool-based code shop have an excellent track record in the racing field, having written the first two Psygnosis-published incarnations of Formula One on PlayStation.
The game, currently under the working title of Metropolis, is midway through development and it's set for release when the Dreamcast launches in Europe on September 9 this year. Metropolis, as the title suggests, is a city-based racer and Bizarre promise the cities will be living, breathing virtual cities.
Bizarre are one of five developers that Sega Europe have signed up to produce key titles for the European Dreamcast launch, and judging by the recently released screenshots, Metropolis certainly makes good use of the technology. The shots released show cars in Tokyo viewed from a TV-style angle. No other details have been forthcoming. More when we get it…
