Player Manager Online

Anco attempt to burst the net

Online football management with cash prizes? Yes indeed, as Anco prepare to launch Player Manager Online in January 2000. Players will be invited to download the software for free and will then be charged on a 'per season' basis. Seasons will last anything from three to nine months (depending on how many fixtures you want to play each week) and will set you back £9.99 for a Premier League team. The cost will be reduced the further down the leagues you go, so we're looking forward to managing Bath City for 25p.

There will be a host of initiatives, including big cash prizes, Manager of the Month awards and even a virtual trophy cabinet. Best of all, if you perform consistently well you could be nominated for the national post.

We'll be checking out this promising title in the next few weeks, along with Player Manager 2000, also scheduled for a January release.
