French publishers pick up VIE
Titus have acquired a controlling interest in Virgin Interactive Entertainment. VIE were one of the biggest European publishing names not so long ago (before everything went the shape of a pear), but they still have a rather enviable co-publishing deal with Japanese giants Capcom (Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, etc).
It's only a few months since Titus bought a major share in Interplay, who themselves acquired a major share of VIE, and now Titus have copped the lot. The French outfit aren't one of the most prolific publishing companies but they almost certainly will be in the next couple of years.
