Hall of Shame
|
| Fruit Machine Simulator (Spectrum) |
This is a controversial one. This '80s Codemasters game doesn't itself deserve to be in the Hall of Shame because it was actually an okay game. It's here because it represents the whole genre of fruit machine simulators and all of them deserve to be here because of all the computer games in the world, these are the most pointless. Why on earth would you want to spend cyber money in an attempt to win more cyber money? IT'S PATENTLY STUPID!
The really sad thing is that people actually enjoy playing these games. Why? At least with a real fruit machine there's the chance to win some real money (though, as any addict will tell you, you're far likelier to lose your cash), but with a computer simulation it's just plain daft. All those who are deranged enough to enjoy fruit machine simulators can fire off their laughable attempts to defend the genre here.
