High Street game bargains
We took a stroll through the streets of Bath yesterday in a bid to find the best games bargains in the January sales. First stop MVC, where we found Zelda on N64 for a crazy £19.99! And that's not all - there were plenty of other quality titles for the same low price, including ISS '98, F1 World Grand Prix, F1 World Grand Prix II and F-Zero X. We also found V-Rally '99 and Carmageddon 64 for just £14.99 each. They were also offering Virtua Fighter 3tb and WWF Attitude for Dreamcast, both at £9.99. We heard that they were flogging TrickStyle for the same silly price but unfortunately the Bath store was out of stock.
PlayStation owners weren't left out, with Knockout Kings 2000 and Xena: Warrior Princess both at £19.99. They were also attempting to rid themselves of the woeful FA Premier League Stars for £6.49 - still a waste of money, we reckon. As for PC, we found Soul Reaver for £19.99, Shadow Company and Seven Kingdoms II for £17.99 each, plus Heavy Gear II for just £6.49 (we gave Heavy Gear II 85 per cent).
On to Dixons, who are also offering some excellent deals at the moment. They had the brilliant Quake II priced at £19.99, Shadowman at £14.99 and Xena: Warrior Princess at £19.99. On PC, we saw Dungeon Keeper 2 and Shadowman for £19.99 each, as well as the most excellent Hidden & Dangerous for a measly £14.99.
What are you waiting for? There's never been a better time to buy games.
