| Codemasters Sign Up For Game Boy Color |
Pro Pool to be first handheld title
Codemasters have announced their commitment to develop and publish games for Game Boy Color. A series of original titles and key Codies brands will lead the company's entry into this lucrative market.
Their first launch, scheduled for 'early 2000', is called Pro Pool and is developed by Blade Interactive Studios, also responsible for Codemasters' recently announced snooker title.
Mike Hayes, Codemasters' Sales and Marketing Director, says: "The decision to enter the Game Boy Color market is in line with Codemasters' policy to publish for mass-market hardware platforms. With the installed user base, the enthusiastic trade support and Nintendo's projections for the format, Game Boy is now a very exciting proposition for Codemasters."
Can't say we blame them. But why did it take them so long?
