| Tomb Raider Announced For Dreamcast |
Eidos confirm The Last Revelation, 128bit-style
Core Design are currently in the process of porting the latest adventures of Lara Croft onto Dreamcast. With hi-resolution graphics, the Dreamcast version of The Last Revelation will look vastly superior to its PlayStation counterpart, being visually comparable to a high-end PC with hardware acceleration.
Features specific to the Dreamcast version include real-time shadow casting, an enhanced lighting system and a greater draw distance than we've seen on any previous versions.
After a torrid week in the press, following analysts' predictions of a low turnover for last year, this must be exactly what Eidos' shareholders needed to hear. In fact, at the time of writing Eidos' shares have gone up 130p - no doubt as a direct result of this announcement.
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation for Dreamcast is expected to be released worldwide in March.
